Pint jar with bail, glass lid and rubber ring. That is truly a collision of two worlds....lol

A famous Hoosier brand and the same family Ball State University is named for. Clever.

My sister is a senior at Ball State University. The Ball family story is quite a good one. Fun fact (maybe more well known than I realize) Ball (the jar company) no longer produces their jars but they are the aluminum can company for both Coke and Pepsi products. You can find the Ball logo on each can.

@bbf I did not know that! My brother is an art professor there and my daughter is a sophomore. Have you seen the Ball Mansions? (Sorry for the hijacking Aaron)
January 25th, 2013
@bbf @lisjam1 No problem, sounds like you're both having... a ball... :p

Quite the nice ball there Aaron. I have one like it, filled with marbles, don't think it is quite that old, but similar style.

very clever! love it! We had a Ball plant here in Marion (well, after Ball Corp bought out Foster Forbes). One of my early shots last year was of the remains of the Ball Foster plant.

Were thees on your property when you moved there?

@lynnb Yep, they belonged to my grandparents. I do have quite a few old bottles and such, but they have some really neat ones!
