Small Packages

One of my favorite old 35mm rangefinders is this very compact, unassuming Zeiss Contessa. Made in 1954, it's got everything a person could ask for in a great camera; light meter, rangefinder, small size, 35mm film, and of course Zeiss glass.

And Danbo reminding me to finish that roll!

I was listening to a photography judge recently and he was singing prasies of the older cameras and how they are so much better than the dslr's we have today. Beautiful shot.

@michelleyoung I couldn't agree with him more! What amazes me most is how heavy the old german cameras are; much heavier compared to modern ones.

beauties! love the reflection... and love the crispness of the foreground against the creaminess of the background...

heavier i assume because made of metal and glass - not plastic?

P.S. every time I saw him in a photo on 365, I actually thought that he was hand made by the person that photographed him! lol.
