Coming To Terms by grizzlysghost

Coming To Terms

- Step 1: Create a slide (Keynote): http://i1097.photobucket.com/albums/g349/GrizzlysGhost/ScreenShot2014-01-17at13559AM_zps6e9efa98.png

-- Step 1.5: Take a picture of the slide with film camera, B&W film; develop, dry, splice and mount on film carrier for the projector.

- Step 2: Set up projector (ancient Argus): http://i1097.photobucket.com/albums/g349/GrizzlysGhost/ScreenShot2014-01-17at13652AM_zps852b1ff7.png

- Step 3: Test (old negative projected onto lampshade to simulate my head... ): http://i1097.photobucket.com/albums/g349/GrizzlysGhost/ScreenShot2014-01-17at13902AM_zps9cc5a094.png

- Step 4: Shoot, shoot, and shoot some more until you finally get an image in your camera that is close to the image you had in your brain! :)
Rather an interesting shot.

January 17th, 2014
Brilliant! All the work you do to get a good shot makes me feel really lazy about mines. Great job, Aaron!

Yeah, simple! not . Fun shot
January 18th, 2014
clever you using a lamp shade as a stunt double ;p very cool result tho'!
January 18th, 2014
@soren Haha, sometimes I wonder about myself! I broke a shoelace last week... you ever try to make your own shoelace? Ya, me neither. But photography... that's another matter! LOL
January 18th, 2014
@northy Thanks Northy! I received the old projector in a bin of camera junk quite some time ago. The magnifying elements are all cracked and you can cook an egg on it after 5 minutes, but I wanted (still want) to do a projector series. Coming soon to a theater near you! :)
January 18th, 2014
i always like how the film looks after it's been eaten by the projector ;p
January 18th, 2014
@northy Lucky for me it's just a single-frame monster; so a much lower chance of eaten film! (Not zero... just much lower. My luck it will fall over onto the film. Into the dog bowl. Full of water. And start a fire...)
January 18th, 2014
@grizzlysghost don't forget to take a picture if that happens!
January 18th, 2014
Ah superb. I need to take 5 minutes to read and figure this out.

January 19th, 2014
Fav - awed speechless - this is the only place that happens - I shall now go back to waiting for the cat to do something exciting ( like blinking) for me to snap!
January 24th, 2014
