SK8 Glacier

In stark contrast to yesterday's "drama," Lake McDonald was frozen smooth today! A rare site as I've never seen this happen (though I've heard stories). Granted, the ice was very thin; so I don't think it will last. I'm glad I got out to record the event though!
Wow! So beautiful! FAV!

It never ices over? That puts a damper on your ice fishing plans! It's gorgeous though!

@smellychelli We have a lot of smaller lakes around here that do freeze over; they get quite a bit of ice fishing attention :)

I'm glad you documented this. Once it is frozen it might get thicker fast because wave action ceases. Get your ice fishing gear ready!

Glorious. Love the white specks of 'stone' on the lake bottom.

Beautiful shot! I've heard stories that Lake Washington, 45miles long in Seattle, was frozen so hard you could drive cars onto it. Before my time for sure. It has never ever frozen in my lifetime. Not even a little bit!
