While this shot is not remarkable in and of itself (sorry Jake...), I post this to illustrate the potential that abounds in everything around you.
Jake is positioned by a little patch of rocks in the lake. There are many like them, but these are Jake's. Mose people see them as just this; rocks in the water. Most people need to open their eyes.
Check the following link to get an idea of Jake's vision. Hopefully this will jump-start someone into seeing things around them a little differently.
I already saw Jakes shot and it is stunning. Thanks for sharing how this came to a shot. Its a good lesson to always look around you and try new point of views and subject :)
I so appreciate this behind the scenes photo, such great insight. Since starting this project I look at everything differently. Thanks for the inspiration!
what a fantastic shot Jake took! If it has done nothing else (it has but thats another story!) 365 has taught me to open my eyes and look at the world in a different way.My only complaint is the lack of time I have to be able to photograph all that I see!
Thank you so much for sharing that. You are an excellent mentor. Did you know that? I am considering you a mentor of mine. Thank you for the lesson. :)
What a wonderful tribute to your friend and a spectacular way to teach us that there is incredible beauty in everyday objects... like rocks. (his shot is incredible!!)
You are an amazing photographer with a beautiful/fun personality. 365 is lucky to have people like you on here to learn from. :)
Most people need to carry a camera, and actually stop and look at stuff. I believe there is some famous quote saying such, I forget by who now. Good to see him getting down and dirty :)
Man contemplating his existence in the world. There is nothing non remarkable about the photo , It is just the right way up, that's all that is worrying you :)
This example serves as such a great lesson. A wonderful demonstration for all of us who search for that perfect photo. We miss so much that is right under our noses.
WOW...I would have never seen Jake's view only looking through your lens....It is so true that many perceptions of the world give a much greater and brilliant view to those who wish to see! Thanks for sharing this one, it made my day!
Thank you for posting this. You both are amazing. I miss my photo buddy from Al. Now she is in Mn & Im in Wa. But even from that far she still has me stop and look around for the differtent look.
