Somehow I managed to carve a hart into the top of my latte that bears a striking resemblance to half a walnut which has been nibbled and discarded by a uniquely discerning panhandler. I've seen two baboons chasing a meerkat around a sailboat in the foam of some of the "upscale" coffees I've received in the past; art which I have now catalogued with the rest of the "magic things I will never understand."
But in the end; a diptych's been created. The rest hardly matters. And as a bonus, I now get to enjoy my half-walnut-in-the-cream latte and thank my stars I don't make coffee for a living!
Mmmmm coffee ..... but even better is the hilarious description. I actually think you are selling yourself short on your coffee foam carving skills when you've very obviously managed to carve a very fine set of lungs into the foam.
Your caption made me lol. :D I think I need to go and ask my favourite upscale coffee shop's barista for a latte with "two baboons chasing a meerkat around a sailboat". :D This gets a fav for oh so many reasons.
Great idea for a diptych and love your title. The browns and creams are very atmospheric. Love your foam carving, although it reminded me of Mickey Mouse's ears! ;)
I see a baboons bottom!!
@corymbia Haha, lungs is even better! :)
I like your colors and light the best on the left side. Nice diptych!
