Thank you all for your views and comments! I'm hoping to get back to my normal routine this week and catch up. Meanwhile, this is a filler that I loved and wanted to revisit!
Wow, I think that this is the most incredible bug pic I have ever seen, you must have the most amazing macro, the detail is mind blowing. You have GOT to get this picture published. Fav.
@dalboy Thank you so much for the fav!! I don't have a macro lens yet..maybe if I'm good Santa will bring one for Christmas!! lol. This was taken with my 70-300mm lens. @pawar_ramesh Thank you!
@orangecrush@stoat Thank you! This is one of my favorites! @jyokota Thank you! I used my 70-300mm lens. This dragonfly was very patient with me and seemed to pose for the camera. I got in close, used manual focus, and just kept shooting. I didn't have a tripod with me so I just got down on the ground and did the best I could. I have gotten a true macro lens for Christmas but have yet to figure it out. My recent shots with it are not nearly as crisp and detailed. My best suggestion is to get out there and try it .....-and be patient, you might take 100 shots to end up with 1 or 2 good ones!
@pawar_ramesh Thank you!
is it wrong that Ray Charles pops into my head?
