Statue in Saint Salvator's

A small area I appreciated in Saint Salvator's Cathedral.

It's a little too high contrast for my taste, but in order to bring out the details of the walls (which are ancient and wildly textured), it's one of the few choices I had, and in this situation the most appealing.

Adjusted the perspective, curves, added a little yellow, and gave the candles a little glow.

I know what you mean about wanting to bring out the texture of that paint and stuff. I am drawn to the folds and other details of the robes on the statue.

I would have to go with the spindles on the window. I like what you did with it. How did you make the candles "glow"?
