This is my daughter Nuala. She has Down Syndrome. She is amazing and the world would be a more boring, but quieter, place in which to live if she were not in it. Everyday she gives us all joy, laughter and love. as well as heartache, annoyance and the need to scream very loudly into a pillow! In other words she is just like any other child!

This shot makes my eyes hurt a bit, my brain cant quite work out the perspective and keeps trying to turn her face the other way round. She is stood up against a wall looking over he back. I just asked her to make a silly face and this is what she did!
love it! great shot and gorgeous daughter. I used to teach figure skating for the special olympics and have very fond memories working with the downs syndrome kids. I loved teaching them and probably gained more from the experience than they did! Keep advocating for your daughter, she seems like a great kid!
I fav-ed it not just to get it to the PP...It is an amazing photo and an amazing "model!" Look at those eyes! So soulful. And the angle/pov is so effective. Congrats on the PP with it! your daughter sounds like an amazing person.

I love the way you've used a really unusual perspective to help people realise there are different ways of looking at things. A friend's brother is Down Syndrome and is in a special drama group and their productions are just amazing. I hope Nuala enjoyed the photo shoot as much as we're enjoying looking at the results.

I'm very late to the party here but many congrats on TT with this wonderful photo of Nuala. I have a 30 year old son with Down's and understand your comment about love, joy, heartache etc very well. All the very best to Nuala and you all.
