1.09 pm: I've wanted to do one of these flipped reflection shots ever since I saw one by @rich57 on Jan 21. My sister @haagjes also did a great one on Feb 14. Today there was hardly any wind meaning a clear water surface and ditto reflection so I took my chances.
This shot was taken in my old neighbourhood. I lived around the corner from here for five years around the year 2000. I had an appointment in this part of town this morning and I walked around a bit afterwards to reminisce.
That's really cool! I had to study it and think about it. I really liked that about it..it kind of plays with your mind a bit. That area looks familiar to me...
Wow, that's really cool! I had no idea it was flipped! Je hebt me op een idee gebracht, ik denk dat ik binnenkort ook zoiets doe als ik een plek vind...
Oh that's awesome. I was turning my head upside down trying to figure out was was going on. I love how the flip makes the "buildings" look wavy and the "reflection" look solid.
@gijsje Een gewone foto maken van een rij huizen gereflecteerd in de gracht en die vervolgens in Picnik 180 graden draaien zodat hij op zijn kop staat :)
Wow wow wow - great reflection! Just having a discussion with my husband who goes to Leiden virtually every week about whether this is there or Amsterdam?
@araminta I'm with the wife on this one. This has to be on a list of things to pretend we are going to do one day. I think yours is the best reflection of the three, there's plenty going off that unless you said it, I might not have noticed
@mrjuggles I have one of those lists as well :) And thanks for the compliments :) @moira Thanks! I only noticed that after I uploaded the shot onto my computer but it's a nice touch :) @limitlessky Thank you!
Thank you all! Sorry for this mass reply but I got so many comments this time that I'm a bit overwhelmed. I'm quite pleased with how this shot came out. It's a very cool concept and I couldn't wait to try it myself when I first saw it :)
