4.13 pm: Pouring rain all day long. The girls were dying to get out of the house so eventually we left for a walk with them decked out in rain gear, my eldest even wielding an umbrella.
I like this shot because it pictures them as they are at this stage: my eldest daughter dreamy and slightly detached, my youngest daughter focused and determined.
Lovely - great expressions. I have a pic of my kids at the same age - grinning away in the rain - my daughter tripped up and landed in an enormous deep puddle seconds after the photo was taken and had to be completely re-clothed!! I miss those days though!
Rain is always fun for children..just jump splash and kick! I love the pop of color of your girls poncho's and that umbrella conveniently hides most of the parked cars...all the attention goes to those sweet things!
I had plans for a "people in the rain" shot today but they all stayed home!! this is a great shot, vibrant colours, I love their expressions - not sure whether to be happy being out or not!!

This is going to sound crazy, but I especially love the title. I grew up with my mother telling me this every time I walked out the door somewhere if it were raining. Is this a Dutch thing?
