It's my birthday today: I turned 38. A self-portrait would have been fitting for this day but the May challenge ended only a week ago and I am definitely not ready for another selfie! This shot of my commute will have to do :)

My eldest daughter is in Amsterdam. Will you tell her Hello if you see her? She's the one who looks the most like me.(kidding of course, but she really is there, first time w/o me, She and two friends are starting in Amsterdam and travelling through a few countries until they get to Milan. I am so jealous, but really happy for her. This was my dream when I was her age and I didn't get to do it)
@halkia I hope she does to. It probably would've been hard to let her go if she still lived at home, but she has had her own flat in Salem MA for a few years now, so I am used to her taking care of her own affairs. :-) And she has always been independent. My husband excitedly helped her plan out where to go and how to get there and all train and bus tickets were purchased ahead and all hostels already found and booked. It is a very organized trip. She even has a blog to keep us posted and her Ipod touch for Internet use where possible.
