12.13 pm: Another canal photo. I can't help myself as the canals look especially beautiful now with all the ice and snow, so please bear with me. I crossed this canal, called Apothekersdijk (chemist's dike), around noon on my way to the hospital and liked the shadows on the ice (caused by the out-of-view buildings on the right bank). Best viewed large.
Beautiful! Yes, I love the canal shots too. It's especially cool (no pun intended, ha) with the ice. Not something you normally see! The light in this is wonderful, too.
