Located in the Hacienda Cemetery in New Almaden is the grave marker in the photo. At the age of 13, young Bert lost his arm in a hunting accident. The law at the time was that the limb must recieve a proper burial. He passed away in 1959 and is buried 11 miles away at Oak Hill Cemetery in San Jose California.
One wonders is he attended his own service, the first one I mean.
