What a busy day. I cleaned up (almost) the whole house and I'll tell you: it was messy! The only thing I did with my camera was this. My hubby bought me a tripod and I had to try it out. Snapped a couple of shots of myself reading the bedtime story tonight. So, a selfie of my right hand it is ;-).
The book is "Ronia, the Robber's Daughter", a classic by a classic Swedish children's author Astrid Lindgren. I definitely recommend her books, I loved them as a child and so do my kids. Astrid always has a bit of rebellion and a lot of excitement in her books :-).
@pien27@moirab@cdonohoue : Thanks! It really is the best part of the evening. They are so concentrated on the story and we have terrific discussions afterwards. @kareen : what can I say, I always see so much better without my glasses, lol! @sassik , thanks! Ronia is a great book. Kids love the robbers because they use such terrible language. In tonights chapter, the robber chief yells "he will run the hell out of here before he lets out his first morning fart!". It was a huge success.
Such a lovely pick Hanna, and precious memories. We love Lindgren too (especially Pippi) but I never heard of Ronia. Off to the library after school pick up to place an order for it!
This is the Best!! Love it and Fav! for the selfie and your two cute daughter's and the Book!!! I will have to check into them for my grandchildren..they love books!
Wow, so many comments! Thanks everyone - it's always so encouraging and fun to get comments :-). And especially nice to hear that so many of you are Astrid-fans too! @frida and @ellimae , I hope you find the books in your library and give your kids these memories, too!
