Have had a lovely day today out with our friends Michael & Ruth who also happen to be our daughter's parents-in-law. We have been friends for 40 years & to our delight our children who grew up together got married ! We had coffee at their house & I set the timer, so here we all are. We went to Skipton for lunch & a potter round the shops & castle, then tea & scone before driving home again . My birthday today so it was a lovely way to spend the day !
Happy Birthday Pat!!! What a lovely way to spend it (is that fab pork pie shop still open in Skipton?). That's amazing that your children should have married each other - mostly our kids just put up with our friends' kids!! So lovely that everybody gets on so well. You've definitely got the best of the weather for your b'day too.
@judithg We went to the pork pie shop but left it a bit late & it was closed !! Thank you for your good wishes ! I am just waiting for no 2 son to ring from NZ & then spoken to all the family... I have had a really lovely birthday !!
