We have had these two doves hanging around our bird table for a few weeks now. They love to sit on this wall during the day when all the other birds have had their fill of food & left for a few hours.
Behind them is the old grain store & I thought the texture of the red bricks quite nice.
The wall the birds are sitting on is newly built to separate our house from these old farm buildings. We used old reclaimed brick & the stone tops come from an old wall we had at the last farm.
I must just say a big thank you for all the comments & faves from yesterdays photo, I was so thrilled to get on the PP page after so long !!! I do find this project very uplifting & just love it !!
I love the rich colours of the old bricks. I have a pair of collared doves in my garden too - I wonder if they're cousins of yours?! They don't seem to do much except perch and feed!
super colours, great texture in the bricks Pat., nice narrative too....be careful with your composition though ....i wanted to see the top of the roof :)
@phil_howcroft You're right Phil I should have watched that , was so intent on getting both birds in as near as possible I didn't realise until you pointed it out !
