Today I took my daughter Cathy shopping in Clitheroe. Yesterday was her birthday so we went & had a potter round the shops & had our lunch out. We did treat ourselves just a little bit & I added to her birthday present she got yesterday so we had a lovely day! It was really her day at uni but she decided to give it a miss for once as the lectures weren't directly to do with her course today !
Of course she wasn't keen on me taking her photo so this was the nearest I got !!
You can see Clitheroe town beyond the arch !
Lovely pof, Pat. Love the tunnel entry unto the village. Hope that your daughter enjoyed the day with Mum . . and yay for you, you had a "willing" participant!! Can't get into much trouble that way. lol
I love the photo and the story Pat. I love taking time out with my daughters too. One lives locally, but the other is two plane flights away in the Northern part of Australia - not so easy to take out for coffee! Glad you had a lovely day.
@judithg Yes I am very fond of Clitheroe too, the castle is to the left & I might do that one tomorrow !! I couldn't find the Halloween option on picnic so there might be no spooky shots !!
@murnane Yes taking a daughter out shopping & lunch is lovely & we had a good catch up just ourselves . With 2 sons & families on the other side of the world we are so glad we have Cathy & family 10 minutes away !!
@phil_howcroft Thanks Phil there were photos with more going on but I liked the arch way of this & I also wanted a record of our day out as I view this 365 as a sort of daily diary !
This is a superbly framed shot and has a lot of atmosphere to it
