Pennine View

This is the view from the house Lydias friend lives & the one she visited yesterday. I parked on the bit of grass at the front of the house & took a couple of photos. It was raining at the time & the clouds were quite low over the Western Pennines. You can see Middleton Fell, Calf Top, Cragg Hill & Greygarth Hill in the distance.
On those same hills runs the Settle to Carlise railway line with the village of Dent being the highest railway station in England. During the summer months you can catch the steam train which uses the famous viaduct featured in the first Harry Potter film!
Would Lydia's friends like to house swap do you think?!

@judithg Probably would I think it's very far out for teenagers !!!! And me for that matter, i have done my living in the middle of a field at the other farm but like a bit of life now !!!!

How lovely, even in the rain.

Beautiful landscape - but I can see how it would be a bit remote for a teenager!

What a view! I love that luscious countryside. Gorgeous shot, Pat. I think the grey day adds to the feeling of isolation and remoteness.

Beautiful scene, Pat. I really like the composition here - the way the road and fence meet on those angles. I find grey days can provide a lot to the feeling of a photo.

I can see why you always comment how dry it is in my pics.
