Harry & I had soup & a roll in Booths cafe in Garstang this lunchtime. For some reason the hills behind looked very near today, a sign of rain they say .
Looking through the cafe window we could see the cairn on top of the hills at Wyresdale, just to the left of the chimney, where we walked on New Years Day a couple of years ago & Garth produced some Damson Gin in a flask !!!
Just had a thought Phil is this contre-jour ????
lovely vista! what a great place to have coffee!! I'm going to be in the Settle area and visiting a pal in the Blackpool area in the new year...we should have a coffee here together when I am up!!!
@sparkle Wow that would be great Juliette, I am all for that !! Let me know when you are over here ! Am on FB or can email me on harrypatknowles @aol.com ! Look forward to that !
Fabulous view from that window Pat - it looks like a cosy, warm place to enjoy a coffee and cake on a chilly winter's day. You have some wonderful views over there.
Pat, its a really well composed shot, i love the people almost silhouetted, but still with enough detail.
I'm not a contre jour expert ...lol...but it is shot into the light , so yes it falls into the contre jour bracket. Although I always tend to think there should be more sun for contre jour, but who am I to say !
Anyway contre jour or not contre jour , it doesn't matter as it is a lovely crafted image :)
