Love this room! Kitchens, dining rooms are the "heart" of every home . . a gathering place for friends and family. Perfect with the Aga in the background and the cards hanging from the beams. It's lovely. And congrats to Henry . . such a winner! :)
@karenann Thanks Karen & yes I think kitchens especially are the place were everyone seems to gather & we do spend a lot of time in here !!! Henry says thank you Karen . Thank you for your lovely comments always I love reading them !!!
@sabresun Thank you Matt ! When we bought this farm years ago you tend to have to put up with the house you get as the land is the most important thing. Unless I had actually hated the house we would still have moved & I would have had to make the best of it !!! I got lucky !!!!
@jmj I'm ashamed to say that I don't know Jennifer but the attic part has crook beams so the main bit of the house is definatly 17th century but there are a lot of added on bits !!
Oh it is a lovely place.............I have had the luxury of staying several times but I've never seen it in the Christmas gear! It's lovely!
Our kitchen family room is really difficult to decorate for Christmas as it's yellow and blue so I keep all the Christmas stuff in the lounge and hall. Will have to give you all a glimpse one day soon!
This room is so wonderful! I just love the warmth and sense of family and friendship.
So happy that Henry made the PP! He looked so charming in his Christmas portrait.
I hope that you are feeling no lingering effects from your fall.
@peggysirk Wow Peggy you have such sharp eyes, I had to go & have a look but it's not Henry although an almost identical shot of a sheep on a Christmas card !!! Well spotted !
JUST LOVELY, I wouldn't mind owning that timber cupboard running along the left wall. Thank you for sharing some of your lovely christmasy home with us.
@lornavale That pine cupboard is 8 foot long Barbara & we had to find a long enough wall to put that against before we could do any thing else in the kitchen !! At the old farm in my mother in laws day it was in what they called the wash house & they use to pack the eggs on it in trays .
