Twigs. by happypat

Twigs.

Tui & I went for a long walk in the fields today with the intention of using the new GorrillaPod I got for Christmas. However it was so windy that even the gate I wound the legs round was moving so I had no chance of getting a decent photo.
Even after taking 83 pictures of various quite interesting views & pictures of the dog I kept coming back to this one as I loved the colours & textures!
It's fantastic!! ..........like something out of a really spooky story!!!
You could start creating one for Max to read when he gets bigger, set in all the lovely places round about you!! :)

Oh a Henry book would be great Pat!! My friend's second picture book is coming out next week ('Not on a School Night' - Rebecca Patterson) - it's just lovely having friends with talent - what with @helenmoss as well! Do you like your gorillapod? I've used mine for indoor night shots and some of the lights in town. Love you trees - full of character.

@judithg Must look out for your friend but I wouldn't come up to their league, no way !!!! I must admit though I do enjoy the writing bit on my photos every bit as much as the photography !!

well Pat, those green Lancashire trees look fab :) .....it must be a damp place in those woods.......I think we all enjoy reading each other 'bits about our photos' :)

Isn't that how it always is . . we just keep going back to the one that we have some kind of connection with. Beautiful shot of this, Pat. Love the textures and the peek of the area inside of these "twigs." Nice processing too. :)

@karenann Thanks Karen & yes there is usually one photo stands out in your mind but if it's another very windy day here tomorrow I might use another of today's pics !

Great shot and processing - love all the scraggly lines created by the twisted branches.

I can see why you kept coming back to this Pat - it's wonderful. Love all the gnarly tree branches and the mossy green colour. Looks very mysterious.

Trees are endlessly fascinating with their branches and twisting twigs. This looks like a hidey hole entrance to a wood.

Very different, quite nice too. Would like a Gorilla pod, might invest in one soon.
