Monday walk by happypat

Monday walk

A fantastic day for our monthly walk today. We walked only about 6 miles but it took us about 3 hours partly because it was over muddy fields , up hill & down dale & we got lost on the footpath several times as the walk was taken out of the local paper in year 2000 so the landscape had changed some what.

You can see the River Ribble in the distance as it winds round the Ribchester area.
I have never seen our feet & boots so muddy at the end, even though most of the ground was frozen hard !!

Miles behind again with commenting & I am afraid I am out tonight so will be even more so by tomorrow !! Will catch up as quickly as I can over the next couple of days !! Please forgive me & I do appreciate all your comments !!
It looks so green and lush but I can by the way your cohorts are dressed that it must be cool. I like the composition and the shadows from the fence.

Lovely! And you don't feel the miles when you have folk to chat to! I can't see the word Ribble without thinking about geography field trips from a long time ago!!

Nice photo and truly beautiful countryside. Also, a six mile walk is nothing to sneeze at. You know that you could also enter this in the *Show me* contest, that featured the *backside* of things.

That is so neat that you get out like that. It is so good to be able to get out in the fresh air and exercise. So healthy

Muddy boots are the sign of a good walk and good day out in the fresh air. Btw I love the alliteration of River Ribble.
