Saturday shopping. by happypat

Saturday shopping.

This is our very busy High street on a Saturday morning. I went for the bread order this morning & to collect my NZ dollars & could hardly park the car. Although a small village this place has everything you need & on a busy morning you have to drive round the square hoping someone will pull out so you can park.
We are so lucky & no empty shops here.

Pretty boring photos but I have lots to do before I go away so you will have to come with me via my camera !
Looks like such a nice place to live :-)

Very nice shot. Living in a thriving community is a *double edged sword*. The shopkeepers need the *heavy traffic* and the shoppers need *no empty shops*.

Favorable comment on the local economy - good to see!

Wonderful village scene. This brought back memories instantly. I remember looking for those parking spaces in England (Lakenheath). The only time I could find one easily was in the afternoon when the shops closed for "tea!" Such a great custom. :)

It's good to see such a thriving village - which only happens when local people support local shops.

Don't these car drivers know you're busy and need to get parked?! I bet there's equal excitement going on in NZ! I've baked your biscuits ready for @sparkle 's visit tomorrow. Not as pro as yours but they taste good!

@stepheesue I am still in Imperial measure here Stephanie so it's either half a pound of sugar or 8ounces of sugar or 225 grammes of sugar. Hope this helps !!!
