You've captured an typical english sunny day at the beach so well! Lovely shot with nice colours. Bet you get the 600D sooner rather than later now you've been tempted!
@jesperani You may be right Jennifer !! The only thing stopping me really is will I get the use out of all that money. I do like my little handy P&S & I think with a large camera like that it will be bulky & not as handy . On the other hand I feel like I am ready to use a wider range of lenses...I am bored with mine that's what it boils down to!
Just got mine woohoo!! had to wait 4 days for my memory card so started today, exciting..go girl, get it!!! Love bucket and spade holidays, lovely shot and blue sky hurrah
Fabulous skies and terrific English seaside scene........
The DSLR is certainly heavier but I find it fits very well in a medium sized handbag !!!!! (for occasional concealment purposes). I do find that it's a great faff trying to get it out of my bag, lens cap off and then pointing in the right direction with a decent exposure set so I tend to carry it in my hand!!!!! The fun and learning is endless with one....you'll enjoy it so much!
@flanners It rained in Preston..that is amazing, we have had sun mostly all day & as you can see Blackpool was glorious! You take good photos Sarah & I held a Cannon 7D in my hand today....quite pricey & the guy in the shop said it was the one he had!! Have been looking on Amazon tonight at their prices & am tempted to go there but the lad in Jessops was so helpful I feel mean picking his brain first !
@ruthmouch Thank you so much for your thought & experience Ruth & I did of course find it bulkier but am really ready for a little excitement with my photos now. Would love to get better macro, DOF etc. I think if you used the DSLR you would go out to take photos specially but shopping in town you would take your P&S perhaps. Watch this space!!!
Looks like a lovely day! Such fun to play the tourist on a nice day! Can't wait to see pics taken with your new camera :) You know you're going to do it sometime, so jump in! (I wish I could follow my own advice! lol)
I've got a bridge camera and am still finding out what it can do which is exciting. I think the DSLR's make it easier to get a really clear photo with crisp detail. I can only get reasonable crispness with a tripod and they certainly don't fit in your pocket. Loved seeing Blackpool through your eyes!
@maggiemae Yours takes lovely photos maggiemae& sometimes I think i'ts not so much the camera as the person is not getting the best out of the shots. Do I use the camera I have to it's best & I'm pretty sure I don't !!
@maggiemae No maggiemae, I got a GorrilaPod for Christmas but must admit hardly ever use it! I only occasionally use manual focus so could go down that route, I would just like to be able to take wide angled shots too.
@happypat The 7D is the choice of many professionals. It is heavy (and yes, pricey!) but it works well in the most challenging of conditions. I have yet to be disappointed.
@flanners Thank you Sarah I have had lots of help so will take it all on board if & when I buy new! I know it sounds a little morbid but if I was 10 years younger I wouldn't mind spending up to that much money on a camera but I think probably the 600D will be adequate.
Pat the 600D is a good choice for you (i've had my 450D for a few years now and essentially the 600D is several upgrades from mine) .....Judith has a 600D so you will be following in good footsteps.
@phil_howcroft The guy in the shop convinced me more or less that the 600D was the one to go for & in fact there wasn't anything in the price plus I did ask about a body only & choose a different lens but that was only £10 cheaper ! The young man at Jessops was I must say very helpful.
a great sunny Blackpool shot - love the blues. OOOh a new camera looming. I have the 60D - the 600D will be lovely! Will keep an eye out for your inpending purchase!!
