Dog walk. by happypat

Dog walk.

This is a view of the small brook that floods badly when it rains ......see 26th September.
This is how it normally looks .... it's a very popular dog walk.
The hills you see in the distance are in the Lake District.

On the left hand side of this brook are the fields we used to farm.

I would like to thank everyone for the very helpful input into my search for a lap top for travelling.
I have taken all your comments on board & will let you know which one I have plumped for.

Three good things:
1. The bat that was flying around the B&B's bedroom last night seems to have gone out of the window thank goodness! ( I had to relocate them to another room)
2. A lovely bike ride in the sun this afternoon.
3. Lamb in the Aga when I got home all ready for tea.
Ha ha number 3 thought you meant a live one!! and number 1 lucky you had another room, what a nightmare!! and so, on to your photo, really can't believe this is the same place as we saw before, you have caught some stunning cloud formations up there.......glorious, lucky us, a beautiful day and the washing that has been drying for 3 days actually is dry!!

@fannyb The B&Bers were thrilled with the bat Fanny...it made their day!!!!! I was so relived when it had gone this morning...at least I hope its gone, it might be hiding somewhere!!!!

I am SO jealous - you can see the Lakes from your garden! Coincidentally we walked Monty while Adam was doing hockey and went down the wrong road, finding a new little path and alongside a stream that caused quite a few houses to flood last month - unbelievable now! Your 3 good things sound idyllic apart from the bat - though you are privileged to have one!!

It does look a good walk! Can't believe the bat! I wonder who put the lamb in the oven? You are well organised - have to be with B&Bs!

That is beautiful. A great place to walk.
My little notebook computer is Lonovo S10e. It is very basic and needs separate disc drive. I use Windows photo gallery to download the pictures I take so I can clear my memory card each day. The battery is long lasting too.

@maggiemae He he I put the lamb in the oven of course as us women do!!! Always having to think of the next meal!!! We like our lamb well done in this house so I put it in before I went on my bike ride.

@judithg The B&B man was thrilled but me less so & that reminds me I had better go up & put the light on & see if it's still there !!!!!

@happypat So long as it doesn't decide to nest (do they nest?!). I like them when somebody's holding them but I'm not so keen on flappy about things!

It looks like a great open area for walking dogs, but also being so flat, I can see why it would flood easily

Great photo and a lovely day!
Oooooh a bat in the bedroom!!! We had one in school the other week and it really spooked the children!

What a perfectly splendid view. I love city living, but then I see scenes like this and have to wonder...
So glad the wayward bat has relocated itself. It was probably thrilled to be able to escape through the open window. :)
