On my way home through Worsley I spied this beautiful house, I only had my P&S on me so parked up quickly at the side of the road to snap it.
Had a little crisis during the night....earlier in the evening I had gone upstairs to the second floor & decided to bleed the landing radiator.
To cut a long story short at 2.30 am we had this cry for help, the water was running down the floor boards through the ceiling on to one of the beds.
At first I couldn't think where the water was coming from but as soon as I went upstairs I realised I hadn't shut the valve on the radiator!
In the middle of the night there was I trying to mop the water out of the carpet when one of the B&B's came out to see what was going on...of coarse I couldn't get back to sleep for ages.
Three good things:
1. A lovely bunch of Chrysanthemums from the said B&B.
2. Seeing Trish again & having a chatty lunch.
3. Both cats present & correct!
@jgpittenger Yes poor things & there is me moaning on about my bit of carpet.....the damage will be heart breaking on the east coast, you are nowhere near there are you?
Oh how dramatic Pat!!!! A great story for them to remember Halloween by! Glad you got it all sorted...Love the end of this rather grand house, is that a bird house or what?
A pity this didn't happen when you had your B&Bs from hell it would have given them some thing to moan about, I like the picket fence., & pleased your cats are OK Pat
