A very lazy day ...I have done absolutely nothing today, tired from yesterday & trying to catch up a little on 365.
Harry has been very industrious power washing the garden furniture & now at the bowling green.
I should never grumble about the weather again when I see all the damage & heartache caused by the Oklahoma tornado.....our thoughts are with you all.
A street artist in Brick Lane or thereabouts from my recent trip to London.
Three good things:
1. Looking forward to beef stir fry bought from the farm shop yesterday for our evening meal.
2. Green free furniture to sit out in when it gets warm enough!!!!
3. I have booked train tickets for Glasgow in June at an excellent rate!!
Well captured. You have caught some interesting expressions here without actually showing their faces ... the two passers-by looking at the artwork and the artist concentrating on his next masterpiece .
@quietpurplehaze Yes do you think they are Doc Martins? We are taking our granddaughter to Strathclyde Uni open day & Mum & Dad are away...will be a nice trip & it's Harrys birthday so a day out!
@happypat
I think they probably are - the colour appeals to me.
Hope you have a lovely day and will you have time for a bit of gallery etc visiting? We love Glasgow for that.
Oh nice - well spotted while we were distracted by the glamorous ladies! Love the movement in the boys walking past and you've done something nice and intense with the colours. Absolutely agree about the tornado - how absolutely dreadful.
You know what, Pat? When I looked at this initially, I thought the cross-legged part was the couple walking together, that their legs crossed over in their combined strides, and I thought what a brilliant idea. :) Then I realised you meant the street artist sitting cross-legged, and it all fell apart. lol
Great photo and fun to read your text and other people's comments! I love the boots too - great colour but probably far too heavy for little feet!
Perhaps Harry would enjoy the Riverside Museum! (It's the new transport museum where we took Allan's dad recently and quite fascinating!) Hope you all have a great day anyway and Glasgow is such a vibrant place!
@sarah19 He probably would Sallie but not sure how much time we will have or if we are going inside the University with Lydia or they go round on their own..will play it by ear I think.
Welll captured ! -- A great candid street image -At 1st I was so busy looking at the walking pair that I nearly missed the sitting down artist !! and I agree with @sabresun Matt's comments !
I like all your three things...beef stir fry (tick), preparations for sitting outside (tick tick) and bargain train tickets (tick tick TICK! I've been known to buy us trainline tickets to places we didn't even want to go just because they were so excitingly cheap!)
@jewelsandbinoculars Yes have discovered if you book early enough you get great deals £ 10 each for return journey so good, slightly more going as we are treating ourselves to 1st class so we get our breakfast... Harrys birthday treat!!
@maggiemae Now i come to think about it maggiemae the London crowd were remarkably fit looking!! We have some large people here in our towns too but didn't notice it so much in London.
look at you and your street shots! This one is great! nice to hear Harry is resting that knee of his! and good for you for kicking back today, wish I could have done! planning on a weekend of doing nothing!
These street artists are so good. Nice capture. I agree with you about not grumbling about the weather. We have had windy weather here and complained but it is nothing to what those poor people in Oklahoma have had to endure.
