Looking towards Blackpool from Clevelys this afternoon at high tide.
Blackpool Tower is in the distance. As you can see the sea was wild & high so I didn't go as near to the edge as those people. I am frightened of the sea & it horrifies me when I see it like this.
The cinema, which is why I was there is right behind the sea wall & I very nearly decided not to go.....sense prevailed in the end & I soon forgot about this churning water when I got inside the warmth.
Three good things:
1. Saw Rush a film about James Hunt & Niki Lauder...I really enjoyed it.
2. I had the foresight to put a casserole in the oven before I set off so tea all ready when I got home.
3. The wood burner is on tonight.
Gosh looks, like those people could get swept away. Brilliant capture, well done you for being so brave!! Lovely feeling when supper all ready, I feel so proud when I am organised. May join you in lighting the wood burner.
Fav for me too. I love a wild sea - there was an exhibit at Tate Britain called 'the wild sea' and it was a collection of maps and old postcards which were all tinted photos of wild seas around Britain. Want to go and see rush - glad it's good.
I'm like @judithg , love the sight and sound of wild sea! This is in the town so different from down our wild coastlines! Your photo is really good getting those sticky-up things in front of the waves!
What a lovely dramatic scene Pat and I particularly like that it is in b&w. it looks really wild up there in the norf. We seemed to have managed to hold on to the mild calm weather down here for most of today but as I write I can hear the wind gathering force outside, so think our Indian summer is about to end as well. Fav for this lovely shot.
I feel really mean thanking you all in one block for your fantastic faves & comments for this photo....worth me being brave & covered with spray!!! You are all fantastic....always gives us a thrill to see a complimentary comment & a fave doesn't it?
Congrats on this dramatic photo - PP - that's awesome!
It is a great photo! It has such power in it with the ocean and waves and spray. You are smart to be afraid of it!
Great composition and processing.
Wow what a stunning shot and well done on braving the elements. Well done on all those fav's too - guess it must be on the PP? I don't post every day any more so I miss out on commenting some days.

I liked Rush, too - surprised me. But I saw Sunshine on Leith this week and LOVED that. Total feel-good, if you get the chance!
