Market day in Garstang.
I think summer is round the corner, it's much warmer today & some bare arms in Garstang ....not me though!
I have been shopping for new ingredients in Booths today. I bought Mary Berry's new cook book which has some nice simple looking dishes.
Camargue rice which looks a lovely dish & fondant icing sugar neither of which they had...I had to go to Sainsburys!
Three good things:
1. Not guilty for our old MP who today got his life back. All I can say he does his very best for his constituents.
2. A little sample of Limonchello , a lemon flavoured liqueur which seemed very potent...I could tell I had drunk it even after half an inch!
3. A brilliant clip on FB that @judithg sent me.....gave me goose bumps!
I was about to comment on taste but I quite like that target one! Might have to try Mary Berry as well - think I might do an Easter themed version of her Tunis cake. Is Harry on for fancy ingredients? Thought of you when the not guilties came in - he seems to be very popular in his constituency and when half the 'victims' say they didn't think they were victims you do have to wonder. Hope these cases aren't going to make it harder for proper cases. Can't beat a bit of Limoncello and I watched that clip again and it made me cry again - he looks like a great character.
Yes I felt the warmth today - although I still had my winter coat on for a while! Apparently there's an awful lot of sexual harassment going on in parliament - according to the news tonight anyway.
I think N was a bit silly but when we lived in the Ribble Valley all those years he came to every village hall do we had & was just a great MP ....don't even know the name of ours now, we never see him!
I have a family do to go to this weekend so I am going to take her lemon cake & try her fish pie when my sister comes on Saturday. I didn't buy the Limonchello but I might soon....would be nice in the summer perhaps!
@happypat we seem to have been given limoncello for free in Italian restaurants - lovely on a summer evening. I agree N has probably not been very wise!
If they call socks, sox, then why don't they call shorts, shortz...!( you have no idea of the difficulty I had when trying to type that word- talk about bullying) Nice to see a market and a local one. I love the clips on FB too - great for a laugh or an incredible snort!
Hmm, should that scarf be a PNE one and not Everton? Although guess it is only a few miles away;0) Very colourful, your 3GT's made me smile. You always know when you have had a limoncello it is pure vodka.
