Harry & I are thrilled to announce the birth of seventeen baby ducklings !!
I looked out of the kitchen window this afternoon & was just amazed to see mummy & daddy duck with all these babies.
In all the years we have lived in this house we have fed these ducks every year but they have never brought their babies to see us before.
So pleased to see them....I hope they all survive a good walk to the nearest pond.
This photo is pretty blurred as it was taken quickly through the window.
Please don't feel you have to comment on either of my photos today as I am filling dates but have no time to comment much this weekend.
Neglecting 365 horribly as we have a big family get together for my niece & her family who are all emigrating to Brisbane on Monday.
Three good things:
1. New life.
2. My sister & her husband coming for the weekend..we haven't seen them for eighteen months. Although they only live in Norfolk we are all too busy or we don't make the time...I see my family in NZ more often!
3. Supper all in the oven.
Aww got to fav them! How exciting - there's an American book set in Boston called 'Make way for ducklings' - I'm sure our US friends will know it - an old classic. Any way it's about mummy duck taking her babies to the pond - you could write the Great Eccleston version! Meanwhile -Brisbane? How exciting - sounds like an extension to your NZ trip in the offing. And a trip to Norfolk means a trip to Cambridge!
Congrats to the proud ducks and to you and Harry as well, they brought their ducklings after all. Fav. All the best to your niece and her family in Brisbane
Sorry for the mass reply but just amazed when I looked just now at all the fantastic comments & faves you have given our little family.....I will pass on your good wishes when they hopefully visit us again tomorrow. Many many thanks to you all! @lucypics I agree we were only saying I wonder how many will actually survive!!
@judithg Definitely Judith....a trip to Cambridge is a must when I visit Norfolk! I am hoping to be at the next London meet up on the 28th June...I have pencilled it in & have nothing on at the moment for that day.
