Just part of the busy marquee that is devoted to all the children's work...local schools, playgroups & individual entries all take pride of place in this busy marquee.
I have used this photo from the show yesterday as I thought there was lots to see.
It is a very busy tent...you can see the sun shining on the visitors outside through the back entrance as they walk past.
I did intend going to the show today for a while but by the time I had done breakfasts & changed beds etc I decided I would be silly to walk around a busy show field too.....must admit I have felt completely cut off from all the excitement this time.....I have not liked it....must get a job next year!!
Thank you for all your lovely comments on my goat picture....I am going to try & catch up a bit tonight when the football is on!
Three good things:
1. For the first time I had three separate tables up this morning for breakfast....it worked well!
2. Turned out a lovely sunny day after last nights torrential rain.
3. Wood pigeons cooing outside the back door.
Neat busy photo - I love the way you have captured the busy atmosphere. I also love the kids ladybird paintings. Hope you are not working too hard and still resting lots!
Looks familiar to our A & P shows - all the children's work. Art, flowers, cooking, cake decorating etc. Except for all the chairs and people sitting. Can't work out why really. You must have a big dining room to get three different tables in but that would be ideal.
A lovely lively capture -Local country shows are marvelous I do miss being a part of such I used to go back up to Mid Wales to my home village when my parents were alive to judge the cookery or handicraft sections in the local show -- How are you ? are you recovering well after your op -- don't overdo things
@beryl was a bigger job than I thought Beryl....for some reason I thought keyhole surgery was a simple day job almost like having a tooth out.....have been quite sore but improving every day. Been busy with B&B too which looking back has been a mistake but have had help from family so all ok now. Pressure off this week so will get some rest. Thanks for asking Beryl.
@maggiemae just like an A & P show maggiemae. The chairs & tables are for the stewards who are in charge of the setting up & are on duty for the two days of the show. I just happened to take the photo at this point as there was lots going on but the marquee is big & this is only a small part of it.
Looks like a great atmosphere. Sounds like you've been doing too much - changing beds!! No problem with going to the cinema on Thursday. we'll set off in the morning, stop for lunch somewhere and arrive in the afternoon. Will get your tel number from your website in case there's a delay. We have a dog sitter for Betty so no problem there either.
