Fairfield Horseshoe

A glimpse of Lake Windermere taken on our walk on Monday.
A lovely day & everywhere was looking its best.
In the background you can see Fairfield Horseshoe. A classic hill walking ridge walk starting from Ambleside that takes in all the fells that surround the valley of Rydal Beck.

Three good things:
1. I have been to the village on my bike, the first time this year.
2. Our lovely cafe in the village where I met my cinema friend for lunch. We have abandoned the films for now as they are all child orientated.
3. I have bagged my chair tonight, Lily has taken to sitting in it after we turned the Aga off before we went away......she must have felt cold & chose my cosier chair. She is mighty glad the Aga is on again!

So you are back home! Nice to see more of England's Green and Pleasant Land! The English love to walk - not so here where I am in a little town called Wheatville. Everyone is SO fat - eating chips and NOT walking!

Marvellous view. That made me laugh, the Fairfield horseshoe was the walk I said we shouldn't do when we were up in the lakes as it would be too hard!
