Blackpool coast line.

A big evening tonight in Blackpool. It's the switching on of the illuminations.
Peter Kay is doing the honours this year helped by Little Mix & a few others I have never heard of.
Considering it's been raining most of the day the evening has brightened up nicely.
The illuminations last until the first Sunday in November & it prolongs the holiday season beautifully.
The swaying things on stalks you can see are called the June Grasses.

Three good things:
1. Harrison Ford is on the One Show at this minute....I like Harrison Ford & loved him in The Witness.
2. I have ordered The Worlds Fastest Indian DVD so can gen up on @maggiemae family history of her father in law before she comes to visit......we will both enjoy watching that this weekend!
3. Lily .....she is so sweet!

It could only be one place! Haven't been to Blackpool for at least 5 years or so, but they were working on the tower back then, because I can remember walking under loads of scaffolding. Great shot

@judithg no Judith we didn't go......we usually go to the Ride the Lights do on the Tuesday but were out this year so could t go. I have never been to a switch on since Shirley Ann Field did it before we were married!! So near but so many people go now it's a scrum ! OK for the young ones! Yes me too. ......loved Wiitness!
