It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas.......
No I haven't got my decorations up yet although I do admit it does look like it. I think it's the red cyclamen that's done it.
One of my angels has got lovely bunches in her hair!
Three good things:
1. All clear at the dentist.
2. The smell of the sea at Fleetwood.
3. 20% off everything at W.H.Smith when I went in to pick up some birthday cards so I got wrapping paper, tags, a couple of books & three Terry's chocolate oranges.
I love scented candels but everyone in my house moans about them! Now my kids have left home I can burn them but my kittens are still a little too playful so maybe not such a good idea yet. Love the angel, very cute.
@beryl@debbie3108 thank you both......I love a candle on a winters night too but not everyone's cup of tea. When I bought this one in the Lakes I also bought my friend one but afterwards thought I bet she never lights it as she wasn't that keen.
It's hard to believe it's time to even consider putting decorations out! I saw a tree up in a house yesterday and others were putting up their Xmas lights. Too soon for me. Cute ornament shot! I like the plant and its bowl in the background.
@quietpurplehaze. On from 13th til 23rd November Hazel....20%off every time you shop in WHSmiths but it excludes newspapers. Magazines & books. On again in December too sometime.
@maggiemae I love this range of Emma Bridgewater pottery maggiemae.....we are going to the factory shop with friends next Saturday & I would like another piece if possible. Just seems something I am drawn to that particular design.
@kwind thank you Kim....this is just an every day shot of my kitchen dresser but it does look Christmassy with the red plant. I love the JOY range of pottery from Emma Bridgewater.
@judithg Beano & a Find Boris book Judith....presents! I am reading the companion book to The Pilgramage of Harold Fry. as seen from Queenies side.....it's gentle but good.
Gingerbread candle. One of my favourites. I love scented candles they are a great joy on these damp dark evenings. Cyclamen thrive on one window sill in my house in spite of my neglect, It is in direct sunlight and there is a draught the two things the instructions tell you to avoid! Love your Christmassy scene Pat. Off to Cheltenham to the dentist this morning so will pop into W H Smiths. All this useful information form you and a great picture as well!
Lovely shot and what a lovely angel. Haven't even started thinking of Christmas yet. Very hot here at present and bushfires burning across NSW. Doesn't have that Christmas feel somehow.
PS, It is looking a bit like Christmas after all , just after I had written this I heard a Christmas beetle trying his best to get through our fly screen door.
@onewing crikey Babs. Christms beetle.....how fascinating, is it red?. Still warm here too & very dark & wet this morning....not Christmassy at all but no matter we will enjoy the Spring all the more! Do hope they manage to put the fires out. I have just seen a video of the bush fires in Australia....looked terrifying! My grandson is a volunteer fireman in NZ so his the NZ fire brigade posted the video.
@happypat No they are a golden colour http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christmas_beetle
Not the brightest of insects either.
Massive fires in the Blue Mountains at the moment, they are the worst ones today. Being water bombed by helicopter at the moment.
@onewing yes they are very golden aren't they......quite handsome in the sun I would think! Fire is frightening....all those beautiful trees ablaze .....I can't imagine it being so hot! Keep safe!
