A belated Chrustmas present from Harry!
I have had my eye on these shoes for a couple of months now....I love brogues.
We went in to Garstang for a pair of socks for a friends 50th birthday...Barbour fairisle....I would have liked a pair of those too but they were men's only!
I was going to put this shot in my extras but as I have been really trying to reply to every comment at the moment I decided I couldn't handle two pictures! Only one post a day I think.....I have loved the chit chat that comes from lots of replies & I will carry on as often as I can but won't always be possible.
Three good things:
1. New shoes of course!
2. A surprisingly cheap quote from the garage for my car service. Even though it's not actually due until September Harry is a great fan of clean oil & filters & thinks these modern cars go far too long between services!,
3. A long talk with #1 son this morning.
Good sensible looking shoes to keep your feet warm and dry in the winter.. Harry sounds so much like Georgie Boy.. must be a farmer thing.. good to have a catchup with the NZ news..
Love the shoes Pat. Shame about the socks. Good capture of your feet. The only time I get my feet in a photograph is when I'm trying to do sneaky street photographs and I get confused!
Very nice too - hope they were in the sale! I love your chit-chat too Pat, and the fact that your daily shot gives a window on what you're up to, not just a shot for the sake of it, which I do sometimes.
@jantan Green suede with pink laces sound gorgeous Jan......I am finding I am wearing more & more sensible shoes these day....so good that they are all in high fashion & don't look frumpy!
Your welcome Pat I am using my mobile to comment as not on laptop yet and the keyboard has its own spelling or should I say it will spell what it thinks It should hence why Moddette shows it has been spelt Incorrectly.
Sensible shoes. You should get some good walking in those. I love leather because you can get a good shine on them. { my husband always cleans my boots]
@busylady No hang my head in shame they were not in the sale....I never like the sLe ones much...that seems to be the problem with shoes imlike! Thank you for your lovely words Judith. I often think my shots have no photographic content at all but I like to run it as a diary....I need to run it as a diary to find out what I have been up too!!
@beryl That was the bit I like too Beryl......the heels are lighter brown too to match the fronts but couldn't manage to show that off well! Thank you !
Nice! and being both brown and black are very adaptable!!
Thanks for the inspiration - I got new boots in the post today too so have just taken a photo of them!!
They look too good to go walking through marshes and mud! Brogues must be an English word....not used here, I don't think! I sometimes post something on my extra album but don't expect comments - its just for remembering.
@maggiemae Yes brogues are pretty English maggiemae....they have little punched holes in a pattern like this, usually lace ups. Yes it is good for remembering things & if you have been somewhere special!
Lovely shoes, very sensible. My type of shoes too. You can keep your 6 inch high heels which make it impossible to walk properly. In winter this is my style of shoes and in summer it is sandals.
@onewing High heals inwear very rarely although I was looking for a pair of black comfy high heels when I went into the shop originally as I have our dinner dance next weekend so have to dress up. Bought these I stead I will get more wear out of them! The old high heels will have to do!
These are lovely! I just bought some new boots (ankleish) with wooly linings - much warmer and the other Timberland ones are wearing out pretty fast and are not fit for anything but dog walking. Dale bargain! I'd like a pair of these as well.
Thanks for the inspiration - I got new boots in the post today too so have just taken a photo of them!!
@gijsje you are dead right too Bep!
