What a fantastic day.......sun & blue sky, I think we have left winter behind!
Another walk photo, this one is the view as we came over the hill from yesterday's picture.
Three good things:
1. I have finished decorating our bedroom today, just the remaining two walls & everything back in its place! I would be more pleased if I liked the colour better! Purbeck Stone from F&B but it's a sort of grey colour which looks modern but I don't think I would have picked it again!
2. I found a large box of Maltesers under the wardrobe! A forgotten Christmas present I had bought last year!
3. A long talk to Max on Skype this morning.
@anazad511 thank you Ana, I was just about to delete it as I think it's a littke dark now I have uploaded it but you like it so I won't bother! Many thanks for the fave too.
Lovely view and a nice place to walk. I will be walking lots on the weekend, but around a 400m circuit to raise money for cancer research - an event called relay for life.
Love those high hedges. I think you have to accessorise grey walls! I need to do our bedroom but we need new wardrobes & we've got a new car instead...
@sarah19 This was just before lunch so about half way Sallie......I must say I liked the contrast of fields & villages. I'm not one that likes to tramp over fields for ever!
@happypat Yes, you know when I was depressed and really sedentary a good friend told me that a lot of people would be delighted to have the gift I had of being able to walk to the mailbox and I should do it every day. He also said that the person you are after exercising is always better than the person you were before you started. So I started adding in random bursts of movement and getting happier by the day. Now I need to get outdoors, well I did then too, but now I recognize that fact.
Charming view! This is a real dip - only to be found in England, perhaps! Remember when I was there and you just topped the hill then there was another village! Walkable villages that we don't have! fav
What a dip -- great for my mobility scooter to go down -- but I think it would struggle coming up ! for that kind of gradience I would need a stronger motor !! Is this the Hornby of Hornby pottery ?-- If So my late husband & I used to buy ourselves an anniversary present when on our summer hols One year we bought a couple of Framed wall plaques in Hornby Pottery -- must be over 45 yrs ago -and I still have them on the wall in the dining room !-- may take a photo of them one of these days !
@beryl Well I would hate to see you bombing down there on your scooter Beryl..doubt you would ever be able to stop! I had to google Hornby Pottery as I did know the name but wasn't sure where it came from. There is a place next to the Auction Mart in Lancaster that used to sell what I thought was Hornby Pottery but now realise was Hornsea Pottery. Hornsea is over on the East coast somewhere but their stuff used to sell at this place in Lancaster. There are no pottery works in this Hornby so perhaps it's another Hornby do you think? I would like to see your plaques one day.
@happypat Aaaw !! my mistake !! what a fool !!--It must have been a senior moment !! lol !! The Plaques are Hornsea Pottery ! Shall photograph them one day !
Fabulous POV. I'd rather be walking down this path than up it. This reminds me of a mug my daughter bought David a few years ago. It had written on it "Over the hill and round the bend".
Ray already has one - for rambling!
That looks a steep hill, always nice walking down but not so good walking back :-)
