I went out for lunch with friends today to the Spread Eagle at Mellor, very nice it was too!
As you can see the view was spectacular......lots of people sat outside ...this was taken from an outside table.....we stayed inside as there was a little chilly wind & I feel the cold!
Three good things:
1. The sort of musky perfume from the cow parsley as I walked down the lane tonight.
2. Harry has mown some grass....getting back to normal slowly.
3. One of my regular B&B's from the USA in tonight.
@judithg Cathy asked him this morning if he would have the op again & he said a big NO....I think it might be a different story in a months time though......the first time he has had anything much wrong with him so it's all new!
@happypat Oh bless and here we are all thinking it's easy because he's doing so well! I think @snowy may have said that and them had the second one done...
Mowing the grass!!! Hope he isn't overdoing it. The most energetic thing on my rehab protocol wasn't until 12 weeks post op - and it said "A little light dusting". Wonderful view.
I googled this lovely country pub - wonderful stone building and with a view like this it would be very popular. I expect all the pain that comes from the operation is hard to forget with Harry but we seem to forget child birth pain pretty well!
A stunning view of that gorgeous landscape!! It sounds like a wonderful place for lunch with friends.
And how about your Harry! He is making a remarkable recovery from his surgery! It's hard to keep a good man down. :)
Wonderful green and pleasant. Especially good if you can eat and see at the same time. The cow parsley is a real picture overflowing the roadside banks at the moment.
What a beautiful view. Glad to hear Harry is doing well. David makes a terrible patient and is always in much more pain than anyone else. I think it is a bloke thing. To be honest it isn't an op I would relish the thought of though.
@sabresun It was very green, we have had lots of rain plus Lancashire is cattle country, mostly dairy so not many crops mostly grass. It was warm out of the wind too. Thank you for your comments Matt.

A little light dusting is what I can normally manage!!! LOL
Well done, Harry!
Now we have nearly all wood and tiled floors, there hardly seems to be a need for even light dusting!!!
And how about your Harry! He is making a remarkable recovery from his surgery! It's hard to keep a good man down. :)
