My Tower of London Poppy by happypat

My Tower of London Poppy

I wonder where all the Tower poppies bought by so many people are resting?
This is mine sitting in the little trough by the outdoor chairs....I see it every time I look out of the kitchen window.

Three good things:
All B&B's present & correct last night & all paid up this morning!
2. Songs of Praise....I just love that programme.
3. Learning a little about Aldeburgh in Suffolk. A county I have never visited but the whole of my daughters in law family are staying in a beautiful house there for a week. Cathy says it's a lovely place & the house looks fabulous.
Loving your lavender, terracotta and of course your bright red poppy!

@gijsje @pandorasecho That is beautiful Bep & thank you Dixie for reposting the link. It reminded me of that wonderful display we saw last October.

Nice shot

Great that the Poppy is close by and you can see it from inside as well.

A lovely sight on a lovely day -- so wonderful that you have placed your poppy where you can see it whether in the kitchen or outside ! I am sure a lot have been put in a safe place and out of sight !! what a shame
June 28th, 2015
@beryl I think I will have to bring it inside when it gets cold Beryl....apparently they are not frost proof.
June 28th, 2015
@happypat That makes good sense Pat -- I would also take it inside for the winter months !

A lovely view from your window Pat thank you for sharing

Your poppy looks lovely. Sadly mine isn't visible any more as everything has grown up around it. I will have to move it for the summer. I love Songs of Praise too but usually record it and watch it later. I'm usually making dinner or bust in the garden when it's on.

It's like stepping back in to the 1950's going to Aldeburgh - lovely! Must get my poppy out!
June 28th, 2015
Nice to have it at this lovely spot beside your patio. Lovely place to sit and read.

Speaking of B&B, check your email :)

@shutterbugger I have replied Jenn....exciting!

The chair is nicely placed beside the scented lavender and the book on the chair looks as if you have just put it down! Love to know more about the Suffolk house!
June 28th, 2015
@maggiemae just google Holly Lodge Aldeburgh maggiemae.

@happypat thanks for that link, Pat - looks lovely and roomy - some people like wooden floors and some do not!

how lovely to see your poppy. We have ours all ready to take home to Australia. We had it delivered to our sons home in London. One of our friends in Sydney had two safely delivered. I think ours will stay in a vase in the house.

It would be lovely to see where all the poppies ended up. Yours is beautifully situated.
June 28th, 2015
nice location for your flower Pat :)
June 28th, 2015
Love that little pop of red in this delightful sunny spot in your garden!
June 28th, 2015

June 29th, 2015
@cruiser I forgot to give our eldest son his when they were here in May,....still in its box so will post it out soon.
June 29th, 2015
@maggiemae I like them downstairs with big rugs where needed but carpets upstairs please.
June 29th, 2015
@happypat Agreed! Big fluffy Greek type rugs downstairs!
June 29th, 2015
Love where you have positioned your poppy. What is it about lavender and terracotta they look so good together. Geraniums are the same. Your chair looks very inviting!!
June 29th, 2015
How lovely that you have your poppy on show and not tucked away in a cupboard somewhere. It looks really at home in the flower bed.
June 29th, 2015
What a great idea to ask the question Pat. My answer is today's posting.
I'm so sorry to have got so behind with commenting what with holidays, hip ops, family visiting, busy B&B weekends etc. I will definitely catch up.

June 29th, 2015
That is so lovely! I hadn't thought of putting mine outdoors as it is still in it's bottle in the hall.............but now I'm going to have a look for a special place for the summer!
June 29th, 2015
Lovely. Our poppy is still in the box. So worried about it breaking
June 29th, 2015
@chris17 Well mine was in its box too until last week but I had just had the thought to put it out while the weather was warm. I will take it in during the winter months.
June 29th, 2015
