The Neil Diamond concert last night was enjoyed by all who attended.
He has plenty of energy still I must say & sang pretty continuously from 8.10 to 10.20pm which wasn't bad for a guy his age I reckon.
I wasn't as keen when I heard from a friend that she had only paid a fifth of our price & a couple next to them who were on holiday in Blackpool had popped into the booking office on chance & got £125 tickets for £20!
The two guys on the left were having a great time!
Three good things:
1. Lydia who has been struck down with gastroenteritis all week in NZ has turned the corner & eaten something. You catch some horrid things on airplanes!
2. Good care for the invalid from Auntie Lesley.
3. A new magazine in the post.
I went to Blackpool on Wednesday for the first time in more than 20 years. Had a wonderful day of photography. Wish we'd known there was a concert the next day. Love Neil Daimond. Great photo of the concert.
A great crowd and a great atmosphere by the looks of things !!! Glad to hear you had a grand night , but doesn't it make you want to spit when others get such a great deal !! -- console yourself it could have been the other way round !!
Looks like a great venue for a concert. I'm certain it was a fun time! When we saw Paul McCartney a few years ago (he was 70 years old at the time), I was amazed at his stamina. He was on stage performing one song after another for 3 hours...never left the stage or took a break. I think he and Neil Diamond are about the same age.
No rhyme or reason for ticket pricing I've come to decide, Pat. For anything from plane tickets to concert tickets, I think it's totally random. ☺
Poor Lydia! I'm so sorry she has been so sick during her NZ visit. But happy to read that she seems to be on the mend!
@peggysirk Thank Peggy for your good wishes for Lydia....she has felt a long way away for her mum! You could tell Neil was loving every moment....adrenaline keeps them going I reckon!
I love how the lighting catches all the heads - a great atmospheric capture. Good job it was lasts night and not tonight - we've had rain non-stop all day here today!
I think this is fabulous! Getting the light on all those heads and the atmosphere! fav for me!
Could be the water - different water gives tummy's something to work at!
@maggiemae Well it could be but she has been so sick maggiemae....never eaten anything for days , sick & stomach cramps together with the runs.....poor girl but hopefully on the mend but they arecwY behind with their travel plans!
Fantastic capture Pat and sounds like a great concert. I don't understand ticket prices. The same thing happens on planes and trains. Nothing worse than sitting next to someone who has paid considerably less than you.
poor Lydia nothing worse than being ill away from home and when you're meant to be out enjoying yourself.

I doubt he will be doing another tour at his age, that's why we went but he certainly hasn't 'lost' it his voice was amazing!
And hope Lydia soon back in the swing.
Lovely shot :)
