I really fancied doing something different today but couldn't think what....was nearly forced to do gardening!
In the end I went to Lancaster to get a new door knob for our shower.
At Great Eccleston Show the owner of GB Antiques, Lancaster gave a talk & valued some stuff people had bought in.
It's ages since I had been there so I spent a good couple of hours pottering around all the stalls.
I bought another teapot as I was one short, a small piece of pink Cranberry ware, a drinking glass & a small earthenware cream pot to put a small bunch of flowers in....the whole lot for under £20.
I wonder if you know what these pretty things are?
Three good things:
1. I avoided the gardening ....until tomorrow!
2. I think the bathroom scales must be wrong.....the heavy cases have thrown the weight out but my word it's lovely to see that I have lost all those pounds without trying!
3. We have had two prospective tenants already!
no idea but they look colourful! New tenants so fast! Thats good news. I did even better, 2 books for the boys, 2 reduced Regatta jumpers for the hubby, a lemon cake, a bag of sweets and dinner out all for the cost of nothing.....(we were treated by our great grandma today, lucky us!)
@newbank That's what grandmas are for! We haven't decided which yet, we are letting them all look then pick ....not sure what the protocol is for picking tenants to be honest!
You have had a wonderful day Pat with your buys , bargains , time to brows , avoiding the gardening !! AND finding you had lost weight without effort ( wish that I could loose weight that easy ! ) I hope you will find the right tenants to be your neighbours soon !!
@newbank Yes possibly but we aren't meeting them! The present tenants are showing them round...bit weird really! I said to George he will have to vet them for us & then we can blame them if we don't like them!
Interesting shot, they look like door knobs although a couple of them look as though they could be glass eyes, the sort you put in when you are going to a party, so as to be a bit different, ha ha.
Great shot Pat and impossible to choose I would end up buying several. Great news about your tenants. I hope it's all sorted soon. I've gardened all week and have one area left to do which was my job for this afternoon. I think I've failed!!
Fabulous photo. What a colourful selection and such fun to choose. After a day in town yesterday, when all I bought was a set of bath ducks for Connor, I could do with a visit to somewhere like that!!!
Great about your tennants.
