Another quick photo between shopping yesterday.
As you can see York was very busy....lots of different accents to listen to!
A quick look at the Cathedral but I was too near for a decent photo....I have glimpses through narrow streets which I will put on at a later date or when I'm desperate!
By the way thank you for all your lovely messages re our trip on the train.....I have been very short of time lately & feel I have neglected 365 but it's much appreciated. Just my busy time at the moment but will all quieten down at the end of September/October depending on the weather!
A good clean up today ready for a very full house over this next long Bank Holiday weekend.
Three good things:
1. A fresh bunch of sweet peas on the kitchen table.
2. A walk down the High street in the sun & chatting in the local shops.
3. A suggestion from Harry to stop off in Australia on our way back from NZ....that is so surprising!
I love York, i was lucky to work there for a year, and live close by for 16 years. I think Ye Olde Starre Inne was the first pub on one of my first days out on the pop in 1984 when I went to Uni in Hull! Super shot, brings back memories.
I love the hustle and bustle in this street scene , Pat . I love these old narrow and pedestrianized streets -- so much to see --window shopping , people watching , and interesting buildings ! I deal place for a photographer looking for candid shots !!
Certainly looks busy. Look forward to your other shots
Best snap up Harry's offer of a Aus stop over. We love Sunshine Coast nth of Brisbane rather than gold Coast
Is this the Cathedral I can just see over the top of the buildings? My sister visited here recently but she doesn't take photos so never saw it. Six hours in the train is a lot!
@julzmaioro He fancies going to visit some friends of ours we met when they stayed here B&B .....I am not quibbling Julz, if he wants to go to Melbourne he can...it's the first step to going other places perhaps!
A nice shot of a very popular tourist street! - it was rather different today, with a delivery lorry hitting one of the shops, resulting in part of Stonegate being closed for several hours - see http://365project.org/fishers/365/2015-08-28
