A line up of young farmers with their cattle.
The bull on the left sat down in the middle of judging......must have been tired....people laughed!
The one on the right had the red rosette!
Three good things:
1. A bouquet of flowers.
2. A skype with a grandson.
3. A catching up day.....ironing, cleaning, paperwork...I feel up to date & on top of the job!
I love these agricultural shows, there's a really big one near here at Builth Wells, The Royal Welsh Agricultural Show. This is a great shot and captures the atmosphere.
Well done with the catching up. I too I'm trying to catch up. I've had a good day too but I still have a lot more to do.
@jocasta A great life for a young farmer but not so good starting out unless you are born into it. Not like NZ where you can work your way up isn't that right @julzmaioro
You were so lucky with the weather. I live in one of the driest parts of the country and our agricultural show is almost guaranteed to be wet and muddy!
Haha - I think I may have told you the story of my friend who was a young farmer in NZ and led a bull around a huge arena at a show when he was about 15. Sadly it decided to mount the cow in front and of course he couldn't stop it. Much hilarity amongst the thousands of spectators and embarrassment for poor Craig!
