A trip to Liverpool today on a coach with the NFU lady farmers.
Took us ages to get there as there was an accident on the motorway so we had to go by the trunk roads.
Lovely dry sunny day & a great lunch out with G&T included.
Spent a long time in John Lewis, a real treat as we haven't one anywhere near us.
Just going dark as we set off home so the Albert Dock looked pretty impressive.
Must just add that this Planet Liverpool has a very interesting history pointed out to me by @gamelee. Too much to write about as an add on but you can google it if you are interested.
Three good things:
1. We set off home dead on time at 5pm but there was no head count....so glad we were on the coach as we went without one person!
2. Listening to the Liverpool accent, it's so strong but has a nice lilting sing song sound.
3. Professional Masterchef started tonight.
Ooohh so glad I read your 3 things pat. I adore professional madterchef. We rarely watch telly and watch most that we do on I player so miss adverts for things. I'd just finished watching a series about fishermen for my ironing company so professional madterchef will be my next ironing company! Lovely shot. Long way home if missed coach!
This is a big city and I've heard about the docks so good to see this one! This is an excellent time to get the lights of the city and also see the buildings and surroundings! Think its very well done, Pat! fav
Can't believe there was no head count!
I iron in the day on the days kiddies both at school and watch things that hubby wouldn't normally watch with me....I'll look forward to it on Friday. Are you an apprentice watcher?
@maggiemae No it was a bit lax wasn't it! I think the lady that was missing was on her own & was going to meet her son hence the reason probably why she was late! Liverpool is a great city...the buildings on the dock & front are amazing!
This is a fantastic photo..love the red boat.. poor lady getting forgotten.. funny how the accents change so much from city to city in England .. don't think we have too much of a variation other than Southlanders who roll there R'rrrr's
Love the way you've composed this Pat and interesting history. I love Masterchef in all it;s forms. I can never get over how mush the professionals get through in the time. I'd still be peeling the potatoes and they've done all these amazing things!
This is a gorgeous image - love the composition. My goodness - didn't they call the roll as you re-entered the coach? Obviously no school teachers in that group.....
@dide Ha ha no you are right Diane. We didn't all know each other & she was on her own so nobody was looking out for her obviously. I haven't heard the sequel to that mistake yet! Let's hope the son could give her a bed!!
Can't believe there was no head count!
