Great Eccleston Christmas Fair today in just terrible weather. Claudia was blowing a gale so no stalls would stay upright, just the fair ground ride, the two poor donkeys giving rides to the hardy children & the fruit & Christmas tree stall.
I bought our tree & he is delivering it later.
Carol singing decamped to the village school & Father Christmas arrived after I left.
My cameras battery was dead after I had inadvertently shot a video of legs!
This is not a good shot! I have others of better things but quite liked the curve of cheek & teddy taken to the fair. I took this shot on the sly because it's not good taking photos of children but we can't see her face so thought it OK.
Three good things:
1. We won the Davis Cup, just got back in time to see the last set.
2. Lovely singing from the village school.
3. Excited children
Davis cup! Brilliant match I was glued to it all the way through. I like the way you've managed to capture her focus and interest without really showing her face, Very clever.
You can almost sense the awe and wonder here. It was the grand switching on of the lights in St. Neots today but the weather wasn't kind. We didn't bother to go down - too wet and windy!
She looks as if she is looking at something in wonder! Could be Father Christmas or could be a Christmas Tree! I thinks its great being slightly misty!
@busylady We went to,ours simply because it's a small place & you are noticed if you're not there! I belted back in time for the last set of Davis Cup so was there precisely one set!
@judithg its atrocious Judith! Wild & windy! Cathy has been stuck at Carlise on way back from Edinburgh, trees on the line at Penrith. She's on a coach now on way home at last.
