I think Storm Frank has pretty much passed us by, heavy rain for a time this morning but has now gone north poor things.
Three good things:
1. Just finished watching the Snow Ride programme that was broadcast over Christmas showing the two hour trek by two women with their reindeers & sleighs on an old route two hours above the Arctic circle ....strangely fascinating! All you could hear was the sounds of hoofs on the snow & occasional talking among the women as they travel along.
2. I thought the wood burner had gone out but it's amazing how they recover when you open the bottom bit!
3. I'm so glad I don't live in the frozen north, -20deg C.
A wonderful sunny day , the sky so blue reflecting on the sea . It could be a picture postcard with wish you were here on the corner of it !! We've had very much rain all day !
"There's a famous seaside place called Blackpool, That's noted for fresh air and fun" Perhaps one time it was. You've taken a positive shot of the place........From some distance. Who knows. maybe it can be turned around. For at one time everybody went there It was huge.
It does look cold and deserted here but makes a great wide oceanside photo! And of course, the blue sky needs to be documented after so much bad weather!
Great shot, Only ever visited Blackpool twice and that was VERY touristy as all the lights were on that was 26 years ago and then again when my girls were little 17 years ago
@bizziebeeme The prom at Blackpool is lovely now Laura......they have spent millions in the town too but it still has its grotty bits. The beach of course is magnificent & lots of it!
Would you believe I've never been to Blackpool, Southport's the nearest and that was for a football match. I bet it's nice this time of year. Lovely quiet beach view.
