Tucked up inside the house today but I did venture out this morning to take a couple of photos.
Dorothy's thatched cottage down the lane looked particularly sweet in the snow.
Lydia has gone back home after her two night stay. If she keeps taking the painkillers every four hours she is fine.
Her mum unfortunately slipped in the snow yesterday on a walk in the Lake District & has a Colles fracture of her wrist.
Very unfortunate first as it cut short their lovely weekend with friends & second because she is self employed & will miss her pay.
Loads of patients waiting & not possible to treat them. It is her left wrist so after a few weeks hopefully she may be able to do her podiatry treatment.
Three good things:
1. A&E department.
2. The snow is melting tonight.
3. A glass of NZ white.
Pleased to hear it was a glassfor nz white though looks more like warming red kinda day. Hope the patients heal quick. Gorgeous shot of this snowy house.
I suppose the snow sticks to the thatch more than an iron or tile roof! This is such a picturesque cottage and I can imagine the inside where there would be a bright fire burning in several rooms! Pinot gris?
Oh no what a nuisance! I slipped and slid a bit yesterday - very deceptive as it didn't look especially icy. Maybe Cathy will be able to work with her fingers once it's less painful.
Sorry to hear Lydia's Mum has a fractured wrist. I do sympathise.
Nice looking cottage :)
