Following on from her visit to Lancaster Castle & Myerscough Agriculture College last May Her Majesty the Queen came & had lunch at this farm cafe.
Just an ordinary place opened by mother & daughter a couple of years ago & the next thing they know the Queen Is eating in their cafe.
I bet they had to pinch themselves!
I met Cathy & Lydia here this lunchtime & we had a really lovely meal in front of a roaring fire.
Three good things:
1. Lydia had a delve into the bag of cast off clothes I was taking to the charity shop & took home a wax coat & a tunic dress I had bought & never worn....so glad she could make use of them.
2. A chat to Max & then Alex this morning. I just heard the first traces of a slight Kiwi accent this morning in the new schoolboy.
3. A much better photo uploading system for 365, we can now follow how the uploading is progressing, a great improvement!
@quietpurplehaze I noticed it when I uploaded this photo Hazel....perhaps it's to do with the new upgrade on Apple IPad but I thought more likely an improvement on 365 Project.

There is a new layout on my project page when you want to upload then when you have picked your photo you can see a green line showing how its uploading & what stage it's got to.
@quietpurplehaze Really well it's the first time I have seen that. Usually I upload & while its doing if I see nothing just the icon on my computer in the top left hand corner showing something is uploading. All of a sudden the picture appears ready to write the words. How weird!
A wonderful capture -- looks a lovely and very interesting place !! This is the first time I have seen this new layout re uploading photos -- got me rather stumped at first . !! also I have noticed that an occasional word in our text are green and underlined -- it you click on these ,you see an advert -- I suppose they sponsor the prog . !
@beryl Oh thank goodness you have the new layout too Beryl...I thought I was seeing things! I was impressed with it! At first I couldn't see what to do when I had picked the photo & all of a sudden noticed the green line.. Haven't noticed the underlined bits yet.
@judithg l. Yes indeed Judith , you said it in one! Ha ha ! I didn't see her arrive on the day last May as it was the day we picked Ant, Jo & the boys up at the airport.
Looks like such an inviting place and great to have royalty visit. .....and everyone else of course!
Cool gran when your gear is welcomed by youngsters! !😁
Lovely collage and an interesting story. I bet they were thrilled to bits that the Queen dropped in.
How nice that the grandchildren have picked up the Kiwi accent. Here is a link to be able to identify what they say as they get older, ha ha. http://www.guy-sports.com/months/jokes_speak_new_zealand.htm
