I took Cathy to Lancaster Infirmary this afternoon to have her wrist checked out.
It's been giving her some pain so she was nervous about how things would go.
After an X-Ray we were happy to hear that all was progressing as hoped. She had it plastered over the other one so now has a full plaster.....a black one at that!
Three good things:
1. My puffa coat is ideal for Cathy to wear while her arm is in plaster. It's light & large enough to wear with her arm in a sling underneath. She was pleased not to have to wear just a big thick cardigan in this cold windy weather!
2. Fish & chips on the way home.
3. Andy Murray through to the final of the Australian Open.
Great scene Pat -- such a busy street , love the way you have caught the workmen just standing around while the lady in red has a very determined look as she steps foreword ! -- glad all is going well with Cathy's arm -- black plaster !! well I never !!
Lovely street scene. I remember this street.
Good to hear Cathy's arm is healing well. Even though I fractured my wrist in the middle of winter, I was thankful that I didn't have to wear a coat. Doesn't get that cold where I live.
Delightful street scene, Pat. I like pedestrian-friendly shopping areas with no cars to dodge.
So glad to read that Cathy's wrist is healing as it should. I would imagine it's a nuisance to have to function with a cast and sling...but hopefully the recovery time will fly by.
Will be behind Andy Murray all the way in his big match tomorrow. Go Andy! A little disappointed that Serena didn't win...but Kerber seemed so thrilled with her victory that it's hard not be happy for her.
Lovely shot Pat. Pleased Cathy is progressing as she should. Plaster casts are so awkward to live with. My daughter used hers for a rounders bat once the pain had gone! It went all squashy so they stuck a much heavier one on as a punishment!
