Sorry another very boring routine diary shot today.
It's blowing a gale outside but we went to Garstang to buy Harry some new specs.
He picked or rather we did some really light silhouette ones that are hardly visible when on. Of course they were the dearest ones as usual but he liked them. Varifocal & reactolite for the sun this time.
We have got to the stage both of us that if we wear our sunglasses we can't see where we're going!
An iPhone photo but I didn't even bother taking my camera with me it was so windy & not fit to take pictures.
I don't seem to have had the time or inspiration to take anything more challenging than diary photos lately!
Three good things:
1. I bought Harry's Christmas present today, a pair of Skechers holiday shoes, so light & perfect for summer weather.
2. We couldn't believe it but on our way to Garstang the hedges were coming out already!
3. A nice Welsh Rarebit in Booths cafe.
Well it sounds a good day all round in spite of storm Henry blowing a gale -- very windy here too !! So Harry is getting ready for his hols ! -- its so bewildering looking at all those glasses and finding the right pair for you !! I've noticed the hedges coming out too -- and the lawns are so high they are blowing in the wind !!
I'm glad Harry has his specs as well as his Christmas present - for 2015 I take it?! Neil asked what I wanted and I said a book and also a new houseplant which I haven't yet got as we can't find one I like.
I hope our lovely hot weather is still here when you arrive. Been that hot we look forward to the bits of rain we been getting. Skechers are the best shoes out.

@peggysirk Harry is hopeless at making his mind up Peggy & to be honest it's very hard to pick a pair of glasses. So very important to the look of your face & so easy to get them wrong! Hopefully he will like them once he gets them home!
@quietpurplehaze Hi Hazel yes it's 2015 present. The only way I could actually get him to try a pair on was to buy them for him hence the Christmas present. He loves the weight if them & think they will be ideal with shirts & summer trousers.
The familiar back of Harry! I'm really getting to know his back so well. Good for those glasses - you don't have to lug sunglasses about and can read in the sun. I might look at Sketchers for a present to John!
@maggiemae Harry was cross when I showed him this photo & said who would take the back of someone's head.....I thought me because he doesn't like his face taken !! Men! Sketchers are very light & the shoe to wear for ever!
@peggysirk I had to go with him because the last ones he bought on his own were awful! I encouraged him to buy the most expensive so hope they are success when we get them!
Isn't it always the way that the specs we like the best are the most expensive. It's only money though and we aren't going to take it with us, so best to spend it now while we get the chance.
good to know Harry got his Christmas present. I have had four birthdays since Christmas and my real birthday isn't until August, ha ha.
Your pictures are never boring. It gives others a glimpse of life on the other "side of the pond". I think we soon realize ALL of us are the same. I like to think of us as brothers and sisters.
